My little firefighter
Hayley's preschool class was learning about fire safety...so their big surprise one day was a local fire truck and some firemen! I was able to witness her excitement and see her and her classmates listen to the presentation made by the firemen. I was so proud of Hayley listening so intently. At home, we helped her continue the learning and do her "homework" by counting our smoke detectors and letting her hear what they sounded like and telling her what to do if she heard them go off. She showed us the "stop, drop and roll" drill (making sure to cover her face as she did it!). We also practiced a fire drill and met outside on the corner of our sidewalk when Lance set off the alarm. She helped guide Mantha out the door too...such a good sister. :)

How wonderful and great your story, your fire drill plan and pics! Can't wait to have Hayley show us the Stop-Drop & Roll drill. :-)
I love that our daycare does fun stuff like this too. Cael is a little young to appreciate it, but soon he will be able to and knowing he is learning and experiencing new things makes it easier (for the most part) to drop him off and go to work as opposed to playing hooky and hanging out with him all day!!
Rylan's preschool had the fireman visit also and that is all he talked about for weeks!
Cute pictures! I love the fire station day. I just wanted to let you know that the fun starts at 10:00 on saturday. We will see you there
Rosanne, our blog BOOs your blog! Come by and pick up your BOO sign!
How fun! I love the your picture on the very top of your blog. What beautiful girls!! I'm so glad I have Samantha in gymnastics--she's so strong!! And Taylee loves to see Hayley.
