HOWEVER, I do have several REAL FB friends. One of them being a true blast from the past. Colleen (Duer) and I were friends back in 6th and 7th grades in Nebraska. We didn't go to the same elementary school...in fact, neither did the third person in our little "Three Amigos" group, Sabry. But we all connected and became best friends from church. We had the best times together - going to the pool, church activities, sleepovers (remember watching Arsenio, Love Connection and dog races?! I know...strange combination of shows, but we loved them for some reason).
Colleen and I moved from NE within weeks of each other. We all sort of lost touch after that (besides a few letters here and there...then those eventually stopped too). Colleen and I kept in touch a bit and even visited each other a few times during high school (it wasn't too far of a trip since I was in MT and she was in WA). Sabry and I reconnected when we both found out we were attending Utah State - what a strange coincidence. So while Sabry and I became best friends again, Colleen and I lost touch again unfortunately.
Until FACEBOOK came along! We recently reconnected on FB and then she had a dream that she and her daughter, Sydney, came to MT to visit. What a great dream that she made a reality!
So Colleen and Sydney came out for a fun little weekend and it was so awesome to see her! Right off the bat, we laughed when we saw each other because we were both wearing white tops and grey capri's.
I took her to lunch with some of my friends.
We went to the park, the pool...and did a lot of catching up. We hadn't seen each other in about 12 years!! Colleen, it was so good to see you and meet your daughter. Let's not wait 12 years to do it again! Now I can truly say - THANK YOU FACEBOOK! :)

Isn't it great when you find someone on FB that you haven't seen forever! I love that about FB. I remember Colleen, I think she even came to my graduation party. I'm so glad you reconnected! Gotta love FB.
How true about facebook...so great that you and Colleen got to visit and reconnect...and funny how you both were wearing the same outfit that first day! :-)
I laughed and cried at the same time reading this. I'm so thankful to have you in my life. What a great friend you are and I only wish we lived closer. I can't wait for our next reunion! Sabry would have completed that weekend!
