Nice handmade head rest we did for Lexi.
We left on a Wed. afternoon and stayed the night at a hotel in Idaho Falls...then drove the rest of the way the next day. On the way home, the original plan was to leave Sunday morning and do it all in one day. But at the last minute, we decided to leave late Sat. night and stay in Pocatello or Idaho Falls...whenever we got tired. We ended up just taking turns snoozing and making it back home in a little under 8 hours! It was nice because the kids just slept - we didn't have to stop for potty breaks or food. Besides that...we had our whole Sunday ahead of us. It was a smart last minute decision. (Good thinking, Di!)
This is just before getting home when the sun came up. We left at midnight and got in at 7:45 a.m.

We have done the "drive through the night" before too....it is so great to not have to stop :)
We had so much fun!!! What a great driving trip...both ways although I might favor driving through the night, night, better. Hey where's the pic of when we stop on the side of the road and the flash of light came in the darkness?? haha ;-)
