Only a few (okay more than a few) months late...but I wanted to share some of the fun moments we had visiting my family in Atlanta this summer. The kids and I were there for 2 1/2 weeks. Lance came the last 5 days. It was SO nice and relaxing!
On our way. Yup - just the kids and I on two flights. They did great!

Well, it wasn't all fun. The day we arrived, one of the dogs had died. Our old dog, in fact. Minnie must have had a stroke or heart attack. My mom had just fed her that morning and she was just fine, I guess. When we all got to their house from the airport, Minnie had passed. :( We had a little burial for her. My mom, who was Minnie's primary caregiver, took it the hardest. R.I.P. Minnie.

Now this...this is what summer in Georgia is all about!

I taught Hayley how to ride her bike in my parent's yard!

We had fun visiting the zoo!

Mantha loved helping grandma in the kitchen!

The diva loved putting home-grown cucumbers on her eyes to refresh herself! ;)

The pool was always refreshing in the hot Atlanta weather!

4th of July Parade!

We ate at a place that Lance and I saw on the Food Network - Varsity. It's in downtown Atlanta - the oldest drive-through in America (I think). When you go to order, they say, "What'ya have? What'ya have?!" We were excited to hear it...and sure enough, we did. :)

Check out this fancy ride that the girls got to ride in. It belongs to a friend of my parents.

Lance and I finally had our anniversary date night...at The Melting Pot - so yummy!

Thanks for the memories, mom, dad, Dianne and Lexi! The 2 1/2 weeks we spent in GA was just what we needed. There were more fun memories - like Stone Mountain and the water park - but I don't know where those pictures are at - maybe on Dianne's camera. It was all spectacular!
