We went to the city parade and met Lorie and her girls there, along with Carey and Jennifer, Jaxon and Georgia and Ken and Vickie.

That night, we went to Jennifer's parent's house for a bbq and some fireworks. It was a nice relaxing time! The kids had a good time playing in a little pool, shooting water guns at each other and running through an octopus sprinkler. They really enjoyed the fireworks too!
They also loved watching the worms grow.
Samantha did not like the sparklers...which is just fine. I get nervous with these things too - since the 'spark' is so close to their little faces. But the older kids liked them. :)
Despite the short-lived storm we got in the middle of our bbq, we still had a fantastic 4th!
