They told us when it came time to take them out, they would probably just have her turn her head towards mommy or daddy and pull them out when she wasn't looking. Well, Samantha just stared down at her elbow and watched the doctor pull them out. It started to bleed a little and Mantha didn't even flinch at that either. Both the doctor and the nurse were impressed with her...so were we!
They didn't even cast it, she's just in a sling again. Which made me really nervous, but she's doing so good with it. Next Friday she'll get x-rays just to see how it healed and then I think she'll be good to go!

This is Hayley's hands next to the two pins that were in Samantha's elbow...just for comparison.

What a trooper! Good job, Samantha! We're so proud of you. :)

I got chills when I saw how big those pins were. What a brave little girl. I don't think even I would have been that brave and there definitely would have been tears!
Wow-that made me queasy. Way to be brave Samantha! Just a quick note to say good luck to you tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you! Enjoy your last night as a family of four and let the maternity leave party begin!
Love, Kelli
She's so tough! Those pins are HUGE! Good job Mantha.
Holy! She is brave! I would have freaked out and they probably would have had to put me under!
PS- Go to my sister's blog and try to win the sweet give-away....

Okay, not to change the subject, but is your baby counter thing going backwards now? I swear it was at 1 day to go a few days ago. Now it's at 3. Is the baby going to start getting smaller? Talk about freaked out! :)
How brave little girl! My daughter broke her arm on her birthday a year ago and it was so hard seeing her go through getting it set.
Oh my gosh those are huge!! I would have definitely cried! Way to go Samantha--you are one tough cookie!!
I'm still amazed how big those pins were and she didn't even cry when she saw them! Haha and that sling didn't stop her one bit from having fun! Samantha we love you!!!
