Anyway - the first time I tried the recipe, Samantha helped me out. They were so yummy that I decided to make them again...
This time with Hayley.
We had so many we gave them to friends and neighbors - I even took some to work (for my office Secret Santa and then some for the rest of my co-workers).
So thank you to whoever I stole the recipe from! Here it is if you're interested:
Ingredients:
- 3 cubes butter, softened
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
- 4 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- About 2 cups chocolate chips (I mixed with white chocolate chips) - extra to top...optional
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the eggs and vanilla.
Add the flour, baking soda and salt.
Then add the chocolate chips. Roll into balls and put them on the cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for about 8-11 minutes (I found that I baked them for about 12-13 minutes.
This lady put extra chocolate chips on top right when they came out so they melted a little into them. I tried that on a few...but didn't care for that. So up to you!
Enjoy!

My mouth is watering. I will definitely give this recipe a try. I LOVE my chocolate chip cookie recipe but lately they have been turning out so flat, not sure what the deal is. Maybe I'm still working out the kinks in my oven? Hmmm....I'll try this one!
I think its so good that Hayley and Samantha cook with you. It's definitely something I know builds lasting memories.
Aww, some of my favorite memories with my children involve cooking with them. Looks like a great time! And hopefully they picked up some skills on the way. Maybe soon they will be baking FOR you! :O)
All that butter... no wonder they're good ;)
