Grateful

I know this is late, but better late than never, right? :)

Just wanted to mention how grateful I am for such a beautiful life. We have enjoyed so many blessing in our family...how can we not be grateful? It's nice to have a holiday once a year where we can stop and reflect on these things...but really we should be recognizing our many blessings every single day of our lives. We at least try to express our gratitude to our Heavenly Father through our prayers every morning and night. :)

Speaking of this particular holiday of thanks and giving...we had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Ken and Vickie's house with Heather, Mitch, Carey, Jennifer, Jaxon, Georgia, Lance, the girls and myself. I opted to not make my traditional deviled eggs and passed that task on to Heather this year. Just wanted to take a break from them. So Lance and I made a bunch of desserts instead.

We made two pumpkin pies, a cream cheese pumpkin roll (which was probably my favorite) and a pumpkin cheesecake! All very YUMM-O!

We also made a green bean casserole from scratch (no cans) that was....well, a disaster to say the least. I threw away the recipe...that's how 'great' it turned out.

Just some snapshots of the day. Didn't get very many good ones, but here they are nonetheless.

The kids had already scattered by this point :)

A little bit of Rock Band!

I love that last picture! You should have seen us in Best Buy the other day at the Rock Band display....Shon and Rylan on guitars, me on drums, and Kyra singing away on the mic!

Glad you had a nice holiday! Sorry about the green bean casserole but at least I know now to not make it from scratch - ha ha. Love the rock band pics, your girls crack me up.
