It was a first taking Samantha to the theater, and for the most part, she did good. She wanted to wonder a bit, which we expected, but that's okay. That's one reason we went on a Monday night - it wasn't packed and she had a whole isle to herself. :) Hayley sat and watched the whole thing and loved it. It was sooooo cute. I highly recommend. :) And what a fun family outing! 2. If any of you read this recent post, particularly #6, then I am proud to report that I put this in the crockpot at lunch time yesterday and it was a yummy dinner! This was the meal we learned about and ate at my Relief Society cooking class last week. Yeah me for actually putting it together. Here's the recipe:
Honey Pineapple Chicken
3 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast halves
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 can (8 ounces) unsweetened crushed pineapple, undrained
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons soy sauce
In a skillet, brown chicken in oil in batches on both sides; transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Combine the remaining ingredients; pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until chicken is no longer pink. Strain pan juices, reserving pineapple. Serve pineapple over the chicken.
Yield: 12 servings. (I only used half the mixture and less chicken. You can freeze the other half. I served it over rice with pineapple rings and cheesy french bread - yum!)
Even the girls enjoyed it - Hayley took a picture of her plate. :)
